I love this version of Isabel! Fun, supportive, sweet— I think she’s gonna be fun to see in future chapters!!! I have to imagine there’s something that’s gonna happen when Jim inevitably spends the night in Pam’s room only to perhaps have some fun in with one of her family members also staying at said hotel??? The Roy backstory seems slightly intriguing— but do we want to know? I’m not sure- but I def want to know more about Jim and Pam’s first date!!

“Sure she had no prince, but she was slowly working on it.” The foreshadowing!!! I LOVE THIS AU! It’s so fun! So sexy! So different! I love Pam’s outfit choice and can’t wait to see what she ends up wearing! I’m so intrigued by why she’s being so secretive about this venture from her family.
I love the little details, like her making absolutely sure her hotel door is locked before taking some sexy selfies to send Jim, who sounds absolutely like someone special even in his profile details and texts to Pam.
I can’t wait to see where this is going! I hope both of them abandon any plans for casual hookups once they meet and fall madly in love— after a lust filled night of course!! Bold Pam is my fave and pleeeeeease let New York Jim have a beard?!?!

I know nothing of dating apps but this feels like fun already. And having lived in NYC from about Pam's age until recently, love that it's where this is set. Interesting twist that her sister is getting married just as she has called off her own. And Pam already has a little more confidence to send off a "what I'm wearing" text.
Author's Response: Oh yes there is plenty of inspo in NYC, I can't wait to send them to some of my favourite places. I felt a younger Pam in 2022 NYC would be a bit more confident, hence adding in the text. The wild adventures of dating apps...

New AU in the city. This could be fun. Pam getting over being in a relationship with Roy but without Jim in the picture already is always an interesting headspace for her to be in. Love the little back and forth messages she and Jim are getting into. He's clearly bringing out her confidence which is always fun to see. More evidence with the picture she sent. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Oh also, please lay off guys when they pose with a picture of a fish. Many guys don't really take a lot of selfies nor do they ask their guy friends to take solo or even group pictures of themselves. The few times a guy will ask to have his picture taken is like when he catches a really big fish. It's a legitimate struggle and accomplishment. Something a lot of guys who are into fishing are very proud of. Said guys are also told to put their best foot forward on a dating app, show off their hobbies and the like. So what else are they going to do if one of the only pictures they have of themselves is also doing something they enjoy in a moment of victory? Now imagine you have this moment you're really proud of, want to show it off, but when you try you just get looks derision? I know I went off on a bit of a soapbox there, but that's the mindset to a lot of those "fish pictures," one might see on a dating app.
Author's Response: I forget how many are set in the city, but hey what's one more! The timeline has been fun to play with. There is a lot out there on all the fish pics. Not a bad thing if they are into fishing. But for Pam who was freshly out of a long term relationship and completely new to the dating world, I figured she would be confused by all the fish!
